Hairstyles and Jewellery

Children are expected to have practical and manageable hairstyles. Long hair for both girls and boys must be tied back during the school day. The school does not condone children attending with dyed hair. For safety reasons, only stud earrings are allowed, and then only in the ears. All earrings must be removed for PE lessons (this includes swimming). If ears are newly pierced, they cannot be removed. Please consider carefully when you have your child’s ears pierced so that he/she does not miss out on 6 or more weeks of PE lessons. Nose piercings must be removed during school times. Inexpensive watches are allowed, however no alarms or games should be included. It is the child’s responsibility to look after these items.
